Off to a Good Start!
This past weekend was a blast. Everyone was excited to break in their skis and snowboards! We had Sunflake, and Julia Vista open. We even had a few terrain park features set up on Julia.
This week we are hoping to make some good snow so we can get more runs open for the weekend!

SNOW falling at BV
Today the guys fired up the guns, and we are OFFICIALLY making snow!!! The temps right now are low, and therefore some awesome snow is being made! We are so excited to see all of this snow, and really getting in the mood for some winter fun on the slopes!

All Ready for Snowmaking!
Don, Eric, and Max were working on the lifts and pulled out the snowmakers so they are all ready to fire up! Shouldn't be long at all until we will be making snow! Let's hope the temps drop and stay that way.

Snow is on the Ground!
Yesterday we received a couple inches of snow that actually stayed! The low temps have helped keep this snow we got. Hopefully the temperature will stay in the low digits so we can fire up the snowmakers! Shouldn't be long now!

Open House--A preview of the season
The Open House last Saturday was fun! We had our ski/snowboard swap, and people were excited to buy some new equipment. In the rental shop we had our theatre set up and a Warren Miller film was playing. Local vendors were here selling equipment and snow gear. Everyone got to enjoy pizza, cookies, and refreshments. It was a good day.
*We would like to thank Raphael's Bakery for providing the yummy cookies, Pepsi for the pop, The Bike Guy, Martin's Ski Shop, No Comply, The Ski Patrol for putting on a great event, Bev for making a delicious meal for the workers, and we would like to thank everyone who came out! We appreciate you all.

BV Beaver Bash Rail Jam
Monday, Feb 20, 2012 at Buena Vista Ski Area!
The Beaver Bowl Bash Rail Jam is a snwoboarder and skier competition featuring rails and boxes as trick features.
There will also be an open class for experienced competitors.
*Awards will be presented for each group and a grand prize will be awarded to open class!
Practice time: 11am-12pm
Start time: 12:30pm--Awards will follow.
Males will compete in the following age groups:
11 and younger, 12-15, 16 & over, Masters.
Females will compete in one class unless the number of competitors makes age grouping possible.
Beaver Bash t-shirts will be sold for ONLY $10!!
